I hold a Senior Fellowship of the Higher Education Academy (SFHEA) and an MSc in TESOL from Aston University, and spent fifteen years as Director for Technology-Enhanced Learning at the University of Sheffield's English Language Teaching Centre. That's university-level instructional design, brought directly to your one-to-one lessons.
Teaching approach
No two learners are the same, and no two lessons should be either. Every session is built around your goals, your level, and the real situations where you need English to work for you — whether that's a job interview, an academic deadline, or simply the confidence to say what you actually mean.
Teaching with technology
My lessons draw on fifteen years of building digital learning experiences at university level. Rather than static worksheets or shared Google Docs, I use fully interactive activities designed around communicative language teaching principles — the same approach I applied developing online courses for the University of Sheffield."

Teaching with purpose
Every week, regardless of my schedule or student load, I dedicate four to six hours of free tuition to refugees and asylum seekers — either online or face to face through local charities in my area. The lessons you take with me directly support these students’ lessons.
