After thirty years teaching English across eleven countries — and fifteen years leading digital learning at the University of Sheffield’s English Language Centre — I've come back to what I love most: working directly with individual learners, one to one, with no institutional constraints and no generic lesson plans.

Built and managed the centre's entire online learning provision, led institutional Generative AI policy, and developed the online CELTA programme — one of the first of its kind in UK university language teaching.
